Whether you already have a hobby, or are thinking about taking up or pursing another hobby, this article will help you. I will provide you with a list of hobbies that pay. If the hobby you already do is not on this list, you could consider taking up another hobby. Moreover, if your current hobby is on the list, then why not make some extra spending money with it. After all, what's better than being paid for something you love! You could always use the extra money to pay a small bill or two, or maybe you could use the extra money toward more supplies and material needed to do your hobby.
Are you creative with your hands? Do you enjoy doing crafts, or are you willing to learn how to make crafts? You can sell your creative work to others. Just about everybody loves a beautiful, handmade item!
Do you enjoy building Web sites? You could expand your hobby and build Web sites for others. Just make sure to mention the skills you have in Web site building (basic HTML, flash, javascript, PHP, etc.). Your potential customers will want to know what you can provide for them, and by mentioning your skills, they will know. If you don't know much about flash, or you can't create flash Web sites, then you would want to leave this skill out, because you don't want to advertise something you can't do.
If you have the talent to write, you may offer your writing services to local businesses, magazines, Web sites, and even other writers who've taken on too much of a workload.
For them, you can write articles, advertisements, Web site content, blog posts, brochures or flyers.
Do you have a passion for taking pictures? Offer photography services. There are varieties of photography services you can offer ranging from photo restoration, retouching, colorization, reprints, enlargements, taking pictures and more.
Maybe you enjoy working with photo software such as Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Paint and others. Put your experience with these programs to good use by offering graphic design and logo services.
Do you enjoy and have experience with typing, bookkeeping, mailing, marketing, billing, invoicing or other secretarial type work? Then why not turn your secretarial skills into cash! You could work from home by offering your services as a virtual assistant.
Maybe you have a knack for repairing computers, and perhaps it's something you really enjoy. Offer computer repair services from your home. Many folks out there enjoy their computer, but the majority of them don't know how to fix it when it fails them. With you around to do it for them, their problem is solved!
Do you like to bake? Are you good at it? Advertise in your local paper and offer your baking services. I'm sure there's lots of moms who don't like to cook, but would be willing to pay you to cook their child's birthday cake. Better yet, if you think you could do a wedding cake this could bring you quite a bit of extra cash.
Do you spend a lot of time researching family histories? Offer genealogy services to help others find their relatives, lost loved ones and etc. Not only will you be doing something you truly enjoy and making money for it, but you will also get the satisfaction of knowing you've helped someone else in the process.
Are you open-minded to learning new things? Offer your assistance to others by offering to do research for them. When you advertise your research services, mention only the subjects you have an interest in, because you may get burnt out and bored if you start researching topics you have no interest in. Also, be prepared to keep notes on where you find the information, because your clients may ask for this, especially if you do research for writers and editors.
Do you take pleasure in collecting and restoring classic cars? You can offer to restore classic cars for others, and you could even sell cars you've collected and restored for yourself. Another way to make money with this hobby is entering your restored classic cars into car shows. If the judges are impressed with your work, you could win a cash prize!
Do you have a musical ability? Offer to teach others how to play the instrument or instruments you know how to play. You'll earn extra cash, have fun and help someone else all at once!
Of course there are many other hobbies you can make money with, but these are a few to help get you started. If you currently have a hobby not listed here, and you're making money with it, or if you know of another hobby not mentioned here that pays, then, please post your comment and share it with us.
