New Book On Model Trains Released

Online news sources note that Author Sam Posey has released a new book titled "Playing With Trains: A Passion Beyond Scale". In this book, he chronicles the construction of his model train, then goes on to interview different people to try to better understand the hobby's appeal.

Lionel Declares Bankruptcy?

Online news sources state that Lionel declared bankrupty last year. Apparently this was the result of a court ruling against them regarding a lawsuit.



We certainly hope they stay in business. Lionel has been making quality products for railroading enthusiasts for many years.

Model Train Clinic

According to a story at the News-Messenger, The Hayes Presidential Center will be holding their annual Model Train Clinic this Saturday from one to four in the afternoon at the Hayes Museum in Freemont, OH.



According to the story, the clinic will be lead by nembers of the Great Lakes Division of the Train Collectors Association. They will offer advice regarding model train maintenance and repair. Additionally, they will discuss estimating the value of older model trains.
